Last Month 225,000 people watched our client’s video
In a Typical Month, We Generate 30-45 Leads, 10-15 Facebook/Instagram Messenger Conversations, and 10-15 Scheduled Appointments with your Admissions Team.
You won’t believe what it cost us!
Our Addiction Recovery Strategy didn’t just happen over night. It evolved over time.
But first, let me explain what’s happening in your industry.
Everything used to be a lot simpler in the Addiction Recovery Industry. We would place a PPC ad on Google and watch the qualified leads come in.
Basically we would swap a little bit of money for qualified leads.
It all came to an end 48 months ago. Ad Costs went through the roof, competition started to pop up all over the place, and everyone was looking for a FREE program. 95% of the calls and leads were unqualified. Not to mention the fact that other programs were clicking on our ads. The industry introduced a certification process to weed out the bad actors. The emergence of Legit Scripts meant that marketing your facility just became more complicated.
This was going on all across the industry.
Residential treatment centers
A simple click with the word Drug Rehab costs $100. What addiction treatment center can afford to pay $100 per click?
If I couldn’t produce placements, then I would have to find another job! But even worse…I hated the thought of letting my customer down. Behavior Health programs are needed. Some are better than others. So it’s important that the better ones find their target audience.
Something needed to change. We had hit a wall. We were so frustrated that we decided to go looking for a better system.
Common Challenges with Treatment Center Marketing
Changes in search habits
The Google Adwords ad space forces everyone to look the same. It doesn’t allow your unique qualities to shine through. Since we were a video company already, we decided to do what we do best. We went onsite to our customer and spent 2 days shooting video. We shot patient testimonials, staff stories, and facility drone footage. That gave us 3 years of content.
This was step number one.
After the videos were created, we started to share them where the audiences existed. We found ways to target our exact audience and produce qualified placements at 1/10 the cost. Digital Magnet was born.

Addiction Treatment Marketing Starts With The Video
Why Addiction Treatment Centers?
Great question. It’s because we have found a way for Behavior Health Facilities to spread their message without breaking the bank and we want to share it. It takes a lot of work to build out an effective rehab marketing campaign, but it needs to be done. Google has pretty much covered the first page with ads. If you do not want to pay $100 a click, you need our system. It all starts with a story.
The Addiction Story
A great marketing campaign begins with a story. You will want to capture the story with a video. You can do this with a simple phone or a professional camera. We have found that the results are about the same. When a struggling drug addict watches a story that is similar to theirs…they will listen.
The Addiction Character
Whenever we launch an addiction treatment campaign we like to start with the Character. Who’s the person we are trying to reach? Do we have a past patient that can share their story with us? Are they likable? Can the drug addict relate. It’s important that your video shoot has the right character.
The Addict’s Desire
After you have identified the character, you need to outline their desire. What do most treatment programs do? They tend to talk about themselves. How they have the best program, the nicest facility, best locations, etc. This is not marketing. Marketing is about talking the same language as the drug addict. They have a real desire to get better and you need to have your Character talk about that desire.
We all know the battle that takes place with addiction. All great stories have some type of conflict. Addiction is one of the greatest conflicts of all. It’s real and our character has to talk about it. Theirs an inner battle and an outer. Make sure they explain just how much of a fight recovery took. I also like to revert back to great movies. The greater the conflict or battle, the more we feel. We are emotion creatures, and that emotion drives most of our decisions.
The Resolution (your program)
Every great story has to have a resolution. When creating your video, your Treatment or Therapy is the ultimate solution. It’s what will win the conflict and fulfill the desire.
Marketing Videos For Addiction Recovery Programs
Strategically Place Your Message
Once you have a video, that tells a story, it’s time to put it to work. We have found that Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are a great way to spread the word about your Addiction Treatment Program. Social media is the key to rescuing people. It’s rehab marketing on steroids. We’re able to get your message in front of the people who need it right when they need it.
Here are the steps.
Discover Your Story - We work together to find the right message for your audience. Simplicity is key!
Find Your Target Audience - With our system, we are able to find where your target audience is located.
Deliver The Message - We broadcast your story to the right audience with Video Ads and online marketing.
Better Insights and Returns
How valuable would it be if all your leads were integrated and fed right into your CRM system? Today, many facilities are still managing the influx of leads using email which tends to result in lost opportunities and doesn’t provide your team the insights so that you can make adjustments. You convert more of your marketing investment into opportunities and customers when you create process and integrate the flow of data into your system-of-record. There are less errors and reducing manual work leads to massive time-savings. With better data, it’s easier to target your database. Not to mention the ability to establish closed-loop reporting. Syncing your data even helps to avoid communication mishaps with prospects.
We will build and maintain your pre-sales system integrations that make it possible for you to grow and scale your business; giving you the confidence that your people have the right tools, working on the highest value tasks and that you’re on the right trajectory. We do it for you.
What is the Penalty for a HIPAA Violation?
Our team understand HIPAA and PHI and how sensitive patient information should be handled. We have team members who have spent years working inside insurance company health plans and understand the shifting landscape of compliance.
HIPAA violations are costly. The federal fines for noncompliance are based on the level of perceived negligence found within your organization at the time oft he HIPAA violation. These fines can range from $100 to $50,000 per violation (or per record), with a maximum penalty of $1.5 million per year for each violation. What are the penalties for HIPAA violations? We will help you avoid these.
Our Offer For Your Treatment Program
How to generate qualified leads and patients with video without spending outrageous amounts of money on marketing.
The first thing I want to mention is that if you’ve struggled marketing your program or if you are spending huge amounts of money and not getting the results you think you should, it’s not your fault. There’s a lot of information out there and it an be overwhelming.
Just yesterday I spoke with the Marketing Director for a detox center. She said they have tried everything and have wasted thousands of dollars on lead, phone calls and ppc. She had been struggling and couldn’t seem to get things figured out.
I want to put those fears to rest. You can do this. You just need the right system and person to show you how it works.
Our Goal is:
1. For those who are beginners, we’ll work with you to discover your message and determine how we’ll deliver that message so that you can find more patients.
2. We’ll perform an assessment of your front-end processes and the systems. We’ll use a series of tools to connect your incoming leads and phone calls to your CRM. Most of our clients partner with KIPU Health but you can use virtually any EMR/CRM.
3. We have experience protecting clients from regulatory violations concerning HIPAA and PHI. We are not attorneys and will not provide legal advice however we will make sure our regulatory team reviews your processes for compliance.
4. We’ll adjust your campaigns to get the absolute best return on your marketing budget.
5. Many of our clients require advanced call tracking solutions. We use several but our favorite is CallRail. Their native integrations with KIPU allow for seamless data capture right in the CRM.
5. We want to show you that the best way to create your message is through a video story and the most effective way to deliver that story is through Social Media.
